Bang Bang - Bangalore shot me up

Frank Sinatra's song was about a tragedy. But this post is about happiness. It's about comfort. It's about the wonderful city of Bangalore. So, what's extraordinary about the place? Multi-storey buildings, booming IT industry, heavy traffic, cosmopolitan crowd; seems like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata. What's so different? Well, there's nothing different yet everything is.

Great weather - But it's fading away with the changing weather patterns. Great places to hang out - The 11:30 curfew and increasing nuisance has victimized this city as well. Unique cultural set up - Oh, you can't ignore the empowering urban development.Super weekend places - But then Pune is similar.

It's a bit of everything else but the real magnet that pulls you is the rapid evolution. Bangalore has always been transforming but it's now that you can see it shaping up. The people who have lived here for over 4 years, do not want to leave. These people will list you the things that they hate about this city but will not really agree to exchange it with any other place in this country. And they are not even natives of Karnataka. They are from everywhere. Still belong to Bengaluru.

As of today, you will feel like everyone knows everyone in this city. It's probably the accentuated socializing activities, the large pool of professionally connected people, the number of public events that make people meet or the influx of foreign crowd settling in. It could be one of these or all of these. Whatever the reason be, this city will make you feel like you have arrived. Like you know this city or you've known this city forever. There is a sense of belonging that's unmatched. There's a possibility that not every one feels the same but well, many do.

It's like there is no barrier of where you come from, what language you speak, what you like or dislike. Everyone is attached to the same difference.

It's all very different. Wonderfully different.

Beautifully Bangalore.
