Life is a long, wondrous and continuous introduction to yourself.

The act of creation — it leads me to unknown places. Only to make me realize that all was known, always. And yet, I live every day with the hope that I’ll explore, create and grow into someone new. Because what’s life if not a long, wondrous and continuous introduction to yourself.

In this journey, music lives by my side. I find melody in my writing, and a lot of writing in my melodies. Sometimes, I hear songs in the bubbles of boiling tamarind water. Or in the stroke of red paint over the canvas. Or in the giggles of a child after a good joke. Tunes find their way even into my boredom, curiosity and the thoughts in between. And a rhythm taps into my sorrow, so it can take the leap to laughter.

Such is music. Such is life — yours and mine.

Collaboration v/s Competition

In a battle, you stand against each other.It's when you stand together that there's a winner!

The problems in this world are many. Most of the human race is evolving to find solutions to these problems. The range of these problems determine the professions, occupations and the discipline that people choose.

Almost all of these disciplines come with a structure, process and an environment to develop in. In the modern world, the most common set up like this is a 'Corporate'.  This word may not literally mean politics, hierarchy and a race but it figuratively qualifies as that.

In such an environment "competition" is a euphemism for every opportunity that boosts somebody's ego and hurts someone else's.

There are many situations that don't fall under this theory. For example, two companies pitching for a client. In this case, the 'better idea' takes the cake. And the winner's ego will be raised but with pride and not supremacy. (Of course, this is a fantasy-ideal-world scenario.)

But the problem is more relevant to places where the competition seeps into the internal circuit. The more the sense of competition, the more fragmented the community gets. Each fragment wants to take the winning cap. However, this kind of competition prevents the 'best idea' to flourish. The best solution is not even crafted. The problem is approached but not with the complete solution. The concern towards finding a solution is diluted by personal battles.

However, if the same environment encourages collaboration, a solution will not only be superior but will trigger future masterpieces. The fragmented thoughts that individuals have, can be glued together and kneaded to create the desired solution. The give and take of minds will make sure that at the end of it the solution has the best of all.

Hence, it's not 'unity' but true-collaboration of great minds that can bring about a real change to the real world.

Competition helps one succeed but it's collaboration that drives the world to excellence.
