I got a ticket!
I thought it got stolen, i panicked but then it dawned , they probably towed it away..
In the 6-7 year history of my driving .. i finally got a ticket in Delhi!
In total i just have been fined two times in the entire span. The first time, it was not even my vehicle. I was riding someone's bike in Pune and as the law suddenly wakes up one day, all folks in the blue-white costume were ready to fine you for anything or everything. The vehicle just did not have some documents they were demanding and even after 20 minutes of convincing talks , i finally had them present me a receipt on my name!
It actually reminds me of funny incidents where i almost landed in trouble but somehow managed to get out!
One such fine day, i had dropped mom to her workplace and i had just taken a turn to find a checkpost and suddenly realised that i was not wearing my seat belt. I stopped and was trying to put it on and strangely there was some fuss and it was taking longer than usual to buckle it...While i was at it, i heard a sudden thud... I looked up and world looked different as if time had moved ... everything was different.
I was right at the checkpost and my car had hit the barrier and a bike sticking to it had fallen due to the impact! But how the heck did i reach that place!!???
ALWAYS PULL UP THE HAND BREAK!!!! :D
I got out without getting fined as the cops started giggling at my story!Entertainment works eh? ;)
Anyway...
Today, i had an urgent work at some place and the parking was full there. This security guard asked me to park it at a certain place where some 5 more vehicles were parked. Without really checking, i parked and went off with my engagement.
I came out an hour later and was to catch the office CAB in anther 10 minutes and hence was in a hurry. As life teases you every second, my keys would not work on any other car....I for a second imagined everything that might follow a car theft... but then the folks around giggled..
Woh..MCD waale le gaye honge!
Oh yes, there was hope... But then i was determined that it was not me who promotes unauthorised parking but some mis-guiding guards who would encourage vehicles everywhere if not in the parking!
In some 30 degrees i was wandering to get my mascot out of the clutches...These cops very coolly asked me to get the guard who asked me to park it there and they would make him pay the fine! As if i am a jughead to do the afternoon walk and trust that chap to even recognise me! heh!
As usual, uncalled fatka and missed my CAB!
But now my wallet finally has a violation ticket!
